Miss anything? I miss sleeping comfortably. I have to pee sometimes 3 times a night.

Movement? All the time. It is my favorite thing about pregnancy. Spencer and I love feeling him move and kick.

Food cravings: I haven't had food cravings.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope! I have been pleasantly surprised that I haven't been sick.

Have you started to show? Yes, there is no hiding it.

Labor signs? No, not yet

Belly button in or out? It is still in, but shallow.

Wedding ring on or off? On

Emotions? Happy, Excited. I think pregnancy has balanced me out. 

 

This week we got Remington's room all set up. 

 

Spencer and I put together his crib. We weren't sure if we were going to keep it or not. We got it for free from a friend back in Utah and didn't know if all of the pieces were there, but it turned out great and we are so excited that it worked out! I love looking at it and imaging him sleeping in there and then I get all giddy and have to calm myself down because we still have a little ways to go before that happens.

 

Craigslist and goodwill has been great for getting things. We have saved so much money by buying stuff used. We always make sure it doesn't smell and that it looks nice. We bought his dresser, car seat/stroller and rocking chair used and I couldn't be happier with them! I am especially happy about the car seat/stroller because I wanted to get a Chicco and they can be pretty expensive. I found the ones we bought for a great price! And they don't expire till 2017, not that I really buy the expiration dates anyway.

 

We are still looking for a swing and I want to put in a book shelf of some sort or little side table. We also still need to get some of the basic stuff, like diapers, wipes and bath items (obviously those things will be new). I'm sure there are a few more things I just cant think of them at the moment. I think that we are just going to figure out what else we will need when he comes and we will buy as we go.

 

Spencer and I got some closet organizers to hang in his closet before we got the dresser. I like the closet organizers better for his clothes. We are going to use the dresser as a changing table and put his diapers and wipes and extra blankets in the dresser. 

 

We are so excited for him to get here! I can't wait to meet him. I wish it was already November!

Down on the Farm

Spencer and I have been in Wisconsin for about a two months now. He started his job on May 5th. He is still in training but gets his first customer in August! Wisconsin is very beautiful. We found a cute little house on a farm with rolling hills surrounding us. It is very pretty here! Very green. Definitely a nice change of scenery from Utah. Although I never thought that I would say this, I really miss Utah! I think it is just because I don't like change and I like knowing where everything is at. Also, I miss knowing what direction I am in or am going! I feel so lost here. But I'm sure I will get used to it just like I did in Utah. One thing I am trying to get used to is the thunderstorms here. We have already had a few tornado's come through our area! We had no idea that we would have to worry about that kind of thing. Good thing we have a basement!

Our branch is really tiny! There are about 30-40 people who are active. As you can imagine, they were really excited to have us move in. We are the youngest couple. The next is about 10 years older then us then the rest of the congregation is older. It is very different from the Provo wards where everyone is newly wed. I am in Young Women's. It is just me and the young women's president. There are three girls. I am really excited to be in young women's but its a little different with 3 girls. especially since we really only have one who comes on Sunday. We have liked the branch so far. Everyone is really nice and welcoming.

Braiden gets home from his mission next week! My family is really excited! We can't wait to see him. I'll be going to WA for 2 weeks to spend time with my family. Unfortunately Spencer can't come since he has to work. I am really excited to see everyone.

Obviously the biggest news is that Spencer and I are expecting our first child. We found out that we are having a boy. We are going to name him Remington Colt Gale. He is the most active in the morning but is constantly moving throughout the day. I love when I can feel him move, it is a pretty neat feeling. Spencer has even been able to feel him move a few times. I have loved being pregnant so far. I wasn't very sick in the beginning which was nice and I am feeling pretty great right now. That might change when he gets bigger and I get more uncomfortable. We will see. Spencer and I went to goodwill and found some really cute baby boy cloths for really cheap. Our favorite outfit we got was a John Deere outfit that was brand new for 1.00. We were pretty happy. It has been so fun thinking about our little guy and getting stuff for him. We can't wait for him to get here in November.

Moving foward

Now that it is official I can say that Spencer and I are moving to Wisconsin when he graduates in April. He got a job with a company called Epic.It is based out of a small town called Verona, it is near Madison. It's a software company. They sell software to hospitals. It has nothing to do with chemical engineering.We are really excited to start this new chapter in our lives. It is great pay and amazing benefits. Spencer is really excited because it is all farm land with lots of lakes and rivers. I am sure we will do lots of camping and fishing!
 I keep having mixed feelings of moving out to Wisconsin. I am excited but I don't really like change and this will be a big change for me. I feel like I have started to like living here in Utah and I will be even further from my family. But we will be closer to Spencer's family, so that will be nice.
We will start to really look and inquire on houses that we like at the end of March. We have been looking but everything right now is available right now or in March. Spencer and I decided that we are going to rent a house! I am so excited to be out of an apartment. I am not a fan of sharing walls. We really need to get a garage for Spencer's Mustang and it will be nice having a house when we have kids. We have found some that we like and hope they will still be available when we need to move. I think I stress over stuff easily but one thing that I wont have to worry about anymore is selling our contract! I put it on KSL and we sold it a week later. Hopefully there will be more updates soon.

Visiting My Family

A couple of weekends ago I was able to visit my family. Unfortunately Spencer wasn't able to go because of school but  I hadn't seen them since last Thanksgiving, so it was a much needed trip. I was there for just 4 days. We tried to pack everything in and see everyone so we were super busy.

I didn't tell any of my friends that I was coming to town because I knew I wouldn't have enough time to see them. Lucky for me Spencer and I will be going Home for Christmas. Only 29 days left, not that I am counting. Hopefully when we go for Christmas we wont be so rushed and will be able to see everyone and really enjoy our time there.

So my plane was delayed and I was at the airport for 5 hours! My parents didn't tell my brother and sister that I was coming. I was supposed to surprise them. My family was going to pick me up from the airport and then go out to eat, and just spend the rest of the evening with them. I didn't get into Portland till about 11:00pm. It was a school night so my brother and sister were asleep when I got home. My mom and I decided that I would wake them up and tell them that I was here. We woke Avree up first and then Bryson. They both had the same confusing look of "how did you get here" and "why are you here" and then when they really woke up they were excited to see me.

Avree and I took a lot of pictures together. Here are just a few of them. I have missed her soooo much!! As I type this I feel like crying. When I woke Avree up the first thing she said was "where is Spencer?" I told her he was still in Utah and she got a big smile on her face. She was glad that she got me all to herself for this little trip. We did a lot of shopping and went to the movies. We also spent a lot of time doing our hair and make-up. She is really into fashion and stuff. I never really was so she may have taught me a few things...I am so lucky to have such a wonderful sister! I love her so much!

 

Bryson went to Homecoming with Delaney. I didn't get a picture of her AMAZING shoes. I love my brother he is so awesome! He is always coming up with fun things to do.

                           We met up with my Aunts and Grandma for lunch.                           

We got our nails done! Avree was mad because they messed hers up but mine turned out good! 

My dad showed off his guns. Spencer is so jealous of his new safe!

My dad, Avree and Bryson are into archery. It was pretty fun! They are all pretty good.

 

These are the kids that I used to watch while Spencer was on his mission. I was with them for two years. I love that we are still so close. They are getting so big! I loved hearing about all of the things they were doing. Keely is a soccer star and Teddy is learning how to play the piano.  Avree babysits them now and made up a game called "the stair game" which we played. It was pretty great! I am so excited to see these two cuties again!

And of course I was excited to see these ladies! They were all surprised and excited to see me. I met the newest members of the family. The twins, Debby and Shelly.

And then my lovely Mom. I miss her everyday.

And that was my trip. Like I said only 29 more days! But its not like I am counting...

Pumpkin Patch

This is the last Halloween that I will spend with the boys I watch. So I thought that it would be fun if I took them to the pumpkin patch. If the kids dressed up then we got a dollar off admissions. Pomai went as The Hulk and Kupono went as Captain America. Kupono wore his costume pretty much everywhere we went the whole month of October, it was cute. Spencer was able to come with us. I love it when he can go on outings with us. The boys love him and it is nice to have an extra pair of hands to help keep track of them!

Life lately: A little of everything

Well we are back in Provo. It's good to be back! It is so nice to have our own space, sleep in our own bed, and really just be in a familiar place. Everything is getting back to normal. Spencer started school. I forgot how late Spencer has to stay up to finish homework. It makes me appreciate him so much more, I don't know how he gets everything done. He only has 2 more semesters left and we are in Provo for 8 more months! I started work. I'm with the same family that I was with before. I missed the boys a lot! I was so excited to see them. They have grown so much since I have been gone. Seth and Taylor live in Orem now and we have had so much fun hanging out with them. It is nice having another couple to do things with.

Pennsylvania

This past weekend Spencer and I were able to see my Aunt, Uncle and Cousins. We are winding down the summer and are heading back to Utah here in a week, we had to go see them since it is just a 2 hour drive. I hadn't seen them since my Grandma died 5 years ago. My Aunt and Uncle were very generous and put us in the Hotel my Uncle runs. It was a nice hotel. Spencer and I definitely needed a little get away. So THANK you SO much!

I've missed my cousins. I always wished that we lived closer. They were so much fun to be around and to hang out and talk with. When my Grandma died my family went to Utah to help my Aunt clean out her house. Spencer had come up to take me to EFY and go camping with Braiden. We were 17 at the time. Every time Spencer walked into the room where Blair was she would cry. She was so afraid of him. When we were there it was cute because she kept saying she faced her fear and wasn't scared of Spencer.

They live in a cute little town called Elizabethtown, right by Hershey, PA. We didn't do Hershey Park because August is it's busiest month. We did however do Chocolate World. It was a lot of fun! We rode this ride that gave us a tour on how Chocolate was made and they had different activities that you could do. It is geared toward little kids but it was still fun.

We got some souvenirs and then headed to Lancaster, PA to learn about the Amish. Spencer and I took some of my Cousins and we went to the central market in Lancaster. We were excited when we first saw Amish people at the market. They were dressed in traditional clothing and some had an interesting accent. We then met up with the rest of my family and rode a buggy through their town. It amazes me that people still live with no modern technology.

We headed back to my Aunts house and played dance central. Spencer even played it! I wish I would have gotten a picture of that. Then we ended the night with a campfire and telling stories and looking at pictures of my Grandparents. It was so much fun to see them and to spend time with them. I hope that we can do it again soon!
